EFFECT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CARE COMBINED WITH COMPREHENSIVE NURSING INTERVENTION ON CARDIAC FUNCTION AND NEGATIVE EMOTIONS IN PATIENTS WITH CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE
Objective: To investigate the effect of using psychological care combined with comprehensive nursing intervention on cardiac function and negative emotions in patients with coronary artery disease. Methods: 246 patients with coronary artery disease who received coronary intervention in our hospital from August 2019 to December 2021 were selected as study subjects and divided into observation and control groups according to the random number table method, with 123 cases in each group. The control group used conventional nursing interventions and the observation group applied psychological care combined with comprehensive nursing interventions. The intervention time was 2 weeks in both groups. The cardiac function indexes were tested by ultrasound detector. The anxiety and depression were evaluated using the Self-Assessment Scale for Anxiety (SAS) and the Self-Assessment Scale for Depression (SDS), respectively. The angina condition was assessed using the Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ) score. The changes of each index were compared before and 2 weeks after the intervention. The occurrence of cardiovascular adverse events during the intervention period was counted. Results: The left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) and left ventricular end- systolic diameter (LVESD) were significantly lower and the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was significantly higher in both groups after the intervention than before the intervention. Moreover, LVEDD and LVESD in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and LVEF was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P< 0.05). The SAS and SDS scores were lower in both groups after intervention than before intervention, and SAS and SDS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P< 0.05). The SAQ scores were significantly higher in both groups after the intervention, which were higher in the observation group than in the control group. The differences were statistically significant (P< 0.05). Conclusion: The use of psychological care combined with comprehensive nursing interventions for patients with coronary artery disease can improve patients' cardiac function, relieve negative emotions, improve disease awareness, and reduce the occurrence of adverse events.
